Description

Mini Cooper RSP in black with only 93,600 miles in 26 years!

Very few original and affordable RSP’s available to buy. Most people are asking silly money. My one is sensibly priced to sell. I have a small collection of cars and need to let go of a couple including my Mini Cooper RSP, a Triumph Stag and a very rare Alfasud Sprint.

The mini is in excellent condition on the outside. It was professionally stripped and painted last year ( a 2k job) as it had a few small problem areas and I wasn’t happy with the finish. With only about 50 miles since then, it is still very nice. The special RSP alloys were also refurbished (all 5) and look like new.

I’ve just spent about £450 getting the mini ready for sale and through its latest MOT. It is running very well, always surprises me how reliable it is and how punchy the engine is, remarkable for a 26yr old mini!

Inside these brilliant cars have 1/2 leather interiors with special tags on the seats, red carpets and a leather steering wheel. The carpets in mine are like new, having been replaced a couple of years ago. The remainder of the interior is good for the age of the car. It feels nice and original but could do with minor tidying. That said, if you wanted to make this look as good on the inside as on the outside, there are many suppliers that could provide what you need for not very much money. The expensive work on the paint has all been done.

There is a little ‘bling’ that’s crept into the engine bay but I have the original spec bits to return it to factory look if that’s what you prefer.

Driving it back from the garage this week I almost decided to keep it, it’s so good! But I need the space and money after tracking down a childhood dream that’s going to need some looking after 🙂

I believe with a little TLC on the interior and engine bay you would have a very smart looking Cooper RSP that would be bags of fun!

I am a Cooper register member and from website info, I understand 1650 of these were built with just 1050 for the UK market. This is a rare mini and sure to join the ranks of the great Coopers over the years. A good investment for any future owner.

Apart from a few bits and prices there’s not much in the way of history, hence a reasonable price for such a nice example.
